Narbonne and its’ treasures

Narbonne, the roman beauty, the first daughter of Rome outside Italy …… Discover the historical past of this ancient maritime centre - now a lively city at the crossroads of major highways and rail lines.  

Beautiful monuments form the centre of town. You will find the palace of the Archbishops which links with the impressive cathedral of St. Just and St. Pasteur. Together these form an assembly of architecture which is unique in France.

Let us not forget the other beautiful architectural features of Narbonne such as The Merchants Bridge (le Pont des Marchands), the covered market (les Halles) or the basilica of St. Paul to name but a few.

There is plenty of parking in the centre of town to allow you to easily visit all of the sites by foot, or use the frequent bus service which also helps minimise the environmental impact of modern man.
